Valentines have come a long way since we were kids! It’s almost hard to believe that everyone used to choose from the same limited options available at Target or the grocery store. No doubt you’d end up with the same design as at least one other kid in your class, then ask them if theirs were from the same place as yours. I fully support picking up something old school in person, but there are also SO many fun Valentine’s Day cards for kids available online. In fact, if you find one with a digital download option, you might even end up saving money!!
My favorites are probably pretty obvious here… because I subconsciously ended up putting them all at the top, ha. The bow card *had* to be first. I gravitated toward the pink and red after seeing the combination everywhere recently, but there are a handful of other options too (including a very “Carly” blue and white)! Smaller kids might not understand the pickleball card, but it’s simply too perfect to resist. So is the Wicked valentine– right?!?!
I’m also a fan of the interactive cards. It makes them feel more “purposeful.” My favorite is the fill-in-the-blank one because it makes each valentine SO personalized!! And, selfishly, it’s super nostalgic. It’d be fun to sit with Jack and see what he comes up with for each of his friends. The word search is also cute– I know I would have loved receiving it as a kid. Finally there’s the scratch-offs! I can’t think of a single kid I know who wouldn’t have a blast uncovering the secret message or name.
One more I want to point out, this time for all the Swifties! It always surprises people when I tell them I’m not very into her music, but I know the younger generations definitely are. I like that the friendship bracelet valentine works even if you don’t understand the reference,- but if you know, then you *know*. Plus, I think this is a valentine that would probably wind up on a pin board at home or hung up in a locker, which I love!
What is better than a classic shift dress in the summer? This one is so cute– it’s constructed beautifully with lining and pockets and a sweet button closure at the neckline. Comment “shift dress” and I’ll send you a link with all the details of my outfit!
A follower DMed me this weekend inviting me to her mom’s house to cut some peonies from her garden. Garden is an understatement. It’s an exquisite path of peonies as far as the eye can see. I came a little past peak (and after a heavy rain storm)…. even still it was so magical it took my breath away. Oh and the scent? HEAVENLY. I cut a few stems to bring home and my whole car was filled with a pure peony fragrance. (Thank you, thank you!!!)
