Jump! don’t be the boiled frog!!

Jump! don’t be the boiled frog!!

” Life belongs to the living, and he who lives must be prepared for change.”  Johann Von Goethe

Is there anything in your life right now that you would like to change? Is there anything that you are coping with and you feel that you can’t take it anymore? Are you facing unexpected changes in your life that is freaking you up?
Then don’t be the boiled frog!!

I would love to share with you the parable of the boiled frog I came across by Dawson SV

It really shows you that you need to believe that you create your own reality in life, you need to believe that you and you only can take charge of your life situations, you are your life leader you need to be proactive!   Here is the story:   Put a frog into a vessel fill with water and start heating the water. As the temperature of the water begins to rise, the frog adjust its body temperature accordingly. The frog keeps adjusting its body temperature with the increasing temperature of the water. Just when the water is about to reach boiling point, the frog cannot adjust anymore. At this point the frog decides to jump out. The frog tries to jump but it is unable to do so because it has lost all its strength in adjusting with the rising water temperature. Very soon the frog dies. What killed the frog? Think about it!
I know many of us will say the boiling water. But the truth about what killed the frog was its own inability to decide when to jump out. We all need to adjust with people & situations, but we need to be sure when we need to adjust & when we need to move on. There are times when we need to face the situation and take appropriate actions. If we allow people to exploit us physically, emotionally, financially, spiritually or mentally they will continue to do so. Let us decide when to jump! Let’s jump while we still have the strength.
See in life we find ourselves in situations where we feel and believe that we are helpless and we can’t do much about it, whether you are stuck in an abusive relationship, an unsatisfying job or a body condition….
There are three major decisions you make at any moment of your day:

  • What I am focusing on?
  • What does It mean ?
  • What I am going to do about it?

All I can remind you is to be aware and pay close attention to what is going around you so that you can notice when the situation is becoming toxic and you need to take actions to improve it.   Change is the only constant in life, be resilient, observant, look ahead, listen and activate your intuition. Don’t wait until it is too late, always be in search for new opportunities and don’t allow yourself to be stagnant, jump before the water boils you.
